NEW YORK, March 24 (UPI) — A JetBlue flight attendant surrendered to federal authorities after allegedly trying to use her credentials to smuggle 70 pounds of cocaine through airport security.
Marsha Gay Reynolds, 31, turned herself in at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. She was charged with cocaine possession with intent to distribute. It is unclear how she got to New York.
Tuesday, Reynolds bolted from authorities when she was randomly chosen for a security screening at Los Angeles International Airport. She was wearing street clothes, carrying a bag and holding her crew member badge.
Police found 11 packages of cocaine wrapped in green cellophane with a possible street value of about $3 million.
