Amber Heard was supposed to be in Los Angeles on Friday morning to give a deposition in her divorce case against Johnny Depp.
Amber Heard was in London on Friday morning.
Maybe she thinks they can bring the courthouse to her.
The “Zombieland” actress had “an emergency” and “to no fault of her own, Amber was unable to arrange for a flight to travel from London,” according to TMZ, citing legal documents. Her lawyers will reportedly ask the judge to push the deposition back to Saturday.
Heard was supposed to testify last weekend, but reportedly refused. Depp’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, reportedly said Heard was crying and yelling in an adjoining room, and wouldn’t go into the room to testify. As a result, Wasser asked the judge to prohibit her from testifying in next week’s trial.
Heard’s lawyers, Samantha Spector and Joseph Koenig, wrote in a filing, dated Aug. 11, that Depp reneged on a settlement agreement. Wasser reportedly responded that the offer was sent to the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor for his approval.
TMZ reported that money is the sticking point between the two parties. Go figure.
Heard and Depp split up earlier this year, after fewer than two years of marriage. Heard has accused Depp of domestic violence, something Depp’s people have denied. Again, go figure.
