Jameis Winston has a new teammate for life.
The former Buccaneers quarterback married girlfriend Breion Allen on March 27 in an “intimate ceremony” at their home amidst the coronavirus outbreak.
“Our initial wedding had just been postponed and I was in a funk. But @jaboowins3 came through and put together a beautiful intimate ceremony in the privacy of our own home,” the bride shared Sunday on Instagram.
“And it seemed it was meant to be this way all along… #MrAndMrsWinston 💍,” she continued.
The couple got engaged in 2018, according to TMZ, and share a son.
As for Winston’s professional life, the 2015 first-overall pick remains without a team after Tom Brady took the reins for Tampa Bay in free agency. It’s been speculated coaches aren’t keen on working with Winston following his historic 30-touchdown, 30-interception campaign last season.
Winston’s former coach Bruce Arians revealed last month he spoke to teams about the 26-year-old quarterback.
“I talked to two teams. I think it was just to (tell them) get him on your roster and it would be a great fit,” Arians said on “The Rich Eisen Show.”
A suitor for Winston has not yet emerged. It is likely that when he does sign, it will be in a backup role.
