Effective March 20, at 10 p.m., The Harbor Juvenile Assessment Center will temporarily close its location on West Charleston Boulevard and consolidate all services to its campus at 861 N. Mojave Road to ensure the health of visitors and staff as a result of concerns about coronavirus.
Operational hours at the Mojave campus are reduced from 24 hours to 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. Additionally, The Harbor has temporarily suspended in-person services for the public; however, parents, caregivers, and community members seeking guidance with children are encouraged to call Harbor’s phone number, (702) 455-6912, to receive assessments over the phone.
Law enforcement partners are still encouraged to route youth arrested in the community to The Harbor’s Mojave location during its current operational hours.
Signs that youth may need help include depression, anxiety, drug use, isolation, bullying or changes in behavior.
The Harbor is committed to the safety and health of those who live within our community and remains dedicated to serving youth and families. We continue to monitor current conditions and recommendations from health officials and look forward resuming in-person services.
